Month-Long Experience:
During the first two weeks, I used Glean to locate contract clauses, Slack conversations, and Jira tickets.
In the following weeks, I simulated onboarding scenarios and real-time project searches. It consistently saved me hours compared to manual searches.
New hires were able to find internal answers independently without asking multiple colleagues.
Strengths:
Glean is extremely fast, context-aware, and secure.
Its ability to pull data from multiple platforms simultaneously reduces wasted time.
It dramatically accelerates onboarding and improves team productivity by providing instant access to internal knowledge.
Weaknesses
For smaller teams, Glean may be overpowered and costly. Its full potential is best realized in mid-to-large organizations with complex knowledge ecosystems.

Spending a full month testing these five AI productivity tools gave me an in-depth understanding of their capabilities. Glean simplified document retrieval, Julius AI made data analysis effortless, Canva Magic Studio automated design workflows, Make reduced repetitive administrative tasks, and Wordune refined writing and communication. Across a month, these tools collectively saved hours of work, improved output quality, and reduced cognitive fatigue.
An important takeaway from this testing is that AI adoption doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Organizations need to be aware of the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure responsible use. Looking at how AI regulations are shaping up, compliance with state-level laws and adherence to federal guidance are increasingly critical. This means tracking data usage, documenting AI outputs, and selecting tools that provide transparency and traceability. Even the tools I tested, while productivity-enhancing, should be used with an eye toward these emerging requirements to avoid potential compliance issues.
